Its really personal choice.
Once you get up to the real high end markers that cost about $ 1000 they all opperate just about the same. So you have to actually try and hold you to know if you like it or not. THey will all work about the same. For me i love using the ego’s the new ego 10 works great.
There are a few loaders that are out that are the top and its the same its personal prefference on what you want. I play with the invert too on most of my mid to low end markers then i use my pinokio on the higher end markers.

For a tank you want to use hpa. Dont matter what marker you get you want to have a hpa tank. One of the best tank companies around is ninja. They have been around forever, they use to make almost everyones tanks but recently they desided to just make tanks for themselves so now they sell under the product name ninja paintball. They are great tanks and the regulators on the tanks have really good flow and they are full adjustable. The regs can have an output pressure of as low as 200 psi or as high as 900. And they are easy to change.

One good thing to have is a hand held cronograph. You can buy a good one for about $ 60 and its great so you can cheak your velocity and tune your marker so it fires just about perfect for you.

OK there are several out there today that are very good and very bad. I would suggest looking at the proto matrix rail, dm8/dm9, invert mini and dangerous power g3 and so on my favorite would be the matrix rail just because its a great cheap gun and its upgrade able. For a hopper I would strongly recommend a torque loader for $ 50 these things are fast and upgradeable also they have an extremely fast feed rate and put an exault speed feed on it. If the torque isn’t to your liking get the pinokio this hopper is amazing and it has a pod extension that goes on the front so you can hold four hundred rounds. These are the two hoppers I would buy i would not buy a halo because of its weight its a little on the heavy side. As far as a tank goes get air not CO2 because its alot cleaner quieter and alot more efficient. I would suggest getting a ninja tank.
honestly? the ego’s and geos by planet eclipse are the best in the business, and somewhat reasonably priced, as picking up a brand new ’09 only cost about 6-800$ and the best hopper, is by far the Dye Rotor loader, the newest version, and the best tank is definitely the new Ninja Paintball 49/45 cu high pressure air tanks, because of the durability, warranty, and larger capacity at the same size.
After playing for 5+ years i wholeheartedly stand behind Eclipse markers as well as DYE, for many reason and either would be a great choice, and the customer service is always top notch
If your willing to blow 1G on it go for a nice ego with a new board like an 09 if you can find a nice do not get bob longs they are garbage and are heavy as a mother. IF you brake it u cant get it fixed because no one repairs them. Go for and ego they are proplular easy to fix and great all around markers. They have the latest tech also there is the DM REVI which is a insane gun i owned one and loved it top of the line i actually would get a revi before and ego, very cheap well made and never brake down PS check out its trigger. AS for your hopper go for a VL velocity one of the fattest skinny profinle and it deflects balls pretty well. and never broke they go for 120 hope i could help. But if you want my gun go look at my youtube video type in “Paintball M14 TIppmann A5″ theres a 1G gun for ya
SL 94 by planet eclipse, rotor hopper, 68ci air tank (nitro duck/gorilla air). I shoot a bob long closer though, $ 500 can’t beat that, shoots great, not as good as the sl94 but not as expensive either. If i were you, which i pretty much had the same attitude when i got into it, i would search craigslist or the paintball forums and buy a used one and some midrange used gear and save your money for playing. You can easily get sponsored still playing with midrange gear and then you get screamin deals on the new stuff. Play more you will end up mowing down those noobs with shiny gats!
the best guns are typically the Dye brand or the ego 10 which is a really good gun too, there is really no point in going that high though unless your a pro and are expected to have it.I have the planet eclipse etek 3 am which is a great gun for $ 200,put a dye rotor and a Pure Energy Ultra Air HPA Tank 90ci 4500 psi tank on it and youll be good too go, with some spare money for pants jerseys ultra crowns, etc.
