Question by sirryan_381: Do airsoft guns shoot a decent distance? How does it compare to a paintball gun?
I see all these airsoft guns on ebay and they look so damn cool. I’m in the military so of course i drool over the real thing over a paintball gun. But i’ve looked everywhere and can’t find actual statistics on them. Anyone help me?

some shoot a decent distance and some don’t, the kind that take green gas are the best. I have an airsoft mac 11 with a muzzle velocity of 320 fps I think it is, which is about the highest it gets, highest is 450 I think. Anyway they won’t shoot as far as a paintball gun because the mass is so much less for a BB, but they are extremely fun since some are full auto. My mac 11 will empty the 48 round clip in a little over 2 seconds. And mine does shoot pretty far

even though airsfot guns can shoot at over 400 fps they just dont have thrange of a paintball gun because the bb is so much lighter that a paintball. i have shot both airsoft and paintball and they just dont have the firepower to go very far. and also have you seen those military looking pb guns? they are awesome and so much better than those airsoft guns
